Caroline Makein has been researching ancestry for over 30 years. With her help, numerous clients from USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere have learned more about their Scottish ancestors.

In 2009 and 2015 she was employed by Wall to Wall, a media production company in London,

to undertake some local research for the BBC series of "Who Do You Think You Are?"

The celebrities were the comedian, David Mitchell, and the actress, Anne Reid.

In 2009 Caroline had a case study published in the October issue of "Your Family Tree" genealogy magazine about her shipbuilding ancestor, Peter Denny of Dumbarton, whose company completed the building of the Cutty Sark.

From 2010 she wrote articles for the online magazine,"Discover My Past Scotland", which are still available through their website.

Caroline has had various articles published since 2012 in the "Family Tree" Magazine, the most recent published in the June 2017 issue 'How To Research Wisely Online'. Look out for her Genealogy Quiz in the summer issue.

A member of the Scottish Genealogy Society,

Fife F.H.S. and Tay Valley F.H.S. She has the Certificate in Scottish Family History Studies from Stirling University.
